Job Title: Finance Business Partner/Project Accountant
Job Summary
The Project Accountant will support Seas’ projects as we characterize the geology of the ocean floor, in connection with the development of wind farms in Europe and North America. The global nature of our business necessitates that we employ key people throughout the world to work in partnership with Seas’ operations team and the Group’s accounting staff in the USA.
This role will be the first key hire to support the creation of purchasing, AP/AR, project profitability, asset management and financial reporting for Seas. Most importantly, the Project Accountant must be a good financial partner to our Seas operations team and help them use financial information to help make good business decisions.
The successful candidate will have strong financial analysis skills, be highly organized, and be able to flex to the demands of a ‘start-up’ company. The Project Accountant must be collaborative, value integrity, a self-starter who can set goals and objectives with little direction in a fast-paced and changing environment. The person in this role communicates clearly and concisely to financial and non-financial colleagues, both orally and in writing. Questioning the status quo by offering thought-provoking and creative solutions to improve accuracy and increase efficiency is key to success in this role.
Accepting applicants from the Newcastle region only.
