Job DescriptionCompany DescriptionJob DescriptionBrakes have an exciting opportunity for a fully qualified accountant to join us as a Finance Business Partner on a full-time permanent basis, who will report to the Head of Finance. This role will provide strategic analysis and support for the Commercial Marketing Team and Senior Business Partner as well as reviewing department expenditure, campaign development and progress, data analysis and producing month end reporting, deliverable guidance and recommendations. A key role to support our recipe for growth, improve performance and drive overall profitability.This role is offering a home-based contract, with occasional travel to the Ashford, Kent office or any other location as required.AccountabilitiesBusiness partnering the UK Marketing and Customer Marketing Directors.Business partnering the Commercial and Independent Finance Teams and Commercial Marketing Senior Finance Business Partner.Working with the Marketing team on campaign modelling, customer eligibility, targets & subsequent analysis on ROI and the benefits derived.Attend regular meetings both with the Marketing team and Finance which will include monthly P&L reviews and quarterly FPR’s.Leveraging analysis into deliverable guidance / recommendations to managers and directors.Clear understanding of the drivers of actual weekly and monthly results compared to forecast/budget and prior year.Responsible for alignment of the Marketing plans across the Commercial Sales divisions.Governance and reporting on spend (inc MPR, QBR) and the alignment of marketing spend with sales forecasts.Supporting the Independent finance teams with weekly flash files and Workday updates.Supporting the annual budgeting process within Workday to ensure the new year is aligned correctly with the plans.Act as deputy for the Senior Finance Business Partner / Head of Finance as required.Support the rest of the team with their daily activities, developing new ways of working or simplifying current reporting. This will include projects on overall Commercial costs, Commercial sales bonus schemes and reporting in Workday.Developing of models to provide insight on key cost information across all the Commercial teamsWorking closely with the Marketing teams to consolidate budgets, rolling projections and analysing of variances or opportunities to save costs.Knowledge, Skills and CompetenciesYou’ll be a qualified accountant in CIMA, ACCA or ACA and be able to drive performance through insight. Someone with strong business partnering skills across all levels with the confidence and ability to understand trends and results. A high level of competency in financial analysis and modelling is essential. This role will require you to flex to different audiences and build strong stakeholder relationships so you must be comfortable with feedback and react with broad thinking.
