As Finance Assistant, you will be reporting to the Head of Finance as part of a small team, and will be responsible for a wide range of Finance tasks such as purchase ledger, bank reconciliations, payments, setting up customer and supplier accounts, credit control and assisting with month end tasks.

Every year we manage hundreds of research projects across the country, helping our clients to make meaningful connections with their consumers and gain valuable insights. We deliver projects on a wide range of subjects from investments and sustainability to shopping habits and toilet rolls, there isn’t a topic we don’t cover!
Role & Responsibilities:
Raising sales orders and generating sales invoices
Managing invoice queries and liaising with our Project Managers to enable them to be resolved within a timely manner
Allocating customer payments
Setting up new customer and supplier accounts.
Creating supplier payment files for authorisation
Creating payment files for research participants
Dealing with a wide range of queries received in our Accounts inbox
Contacting businesses to tactfully collect due and overdue Invoices
Completing bank reconciliations
Processing employee expenses
Supplier statement reconciliation
Conducting ad-hoc customer and supplier account reconciliations
Raising inter-company recharge invoices
Analysis of credit card payments
Supporting the Head of Finance with project profitability reviews
Other ad-hoc reconciliations and work
Required experience and skills:
Must have experience within a Finance Assistant role, or similar position
Part-qualified AAT preferred
Experience of purchase ledger, sales invoicing, bank reconciliations, payment preparation, and credit control
Knowledge around posting journal entries
A quick learner, confident in an environment that likes to embrace change
Strong communication skills and a 'can do' attitude
Experience of Sage is an advantage
Confident using new systems, with experience using Excel
Salary:
from £28,000 per annum
Other Benefits:
We offer hybrid working with three days in the office. The finance team mainly works out of our Stockport office, however there is the expectation of one day a week in our Manchester office.
