CMA is currently working with a Romsey based business who are looking to appoint a temporary Finance Assistant. This is an exceptional opportunity for a candidate who has some finance experience but looking to establish themselves within an experienced finance team. The role will support with the end to end purchase ledger function.   

What will the Finance Assistant role involve? 


  • Posting and matching purchase order invoices and investigating differences;
  • Reconciling statements from suppliers;
  • Posting straight to ledger invoices;
  • Answering phone calls where necessary and liaising with suppliers for copy invoices;
  • Preparing payments (Single and BACS) to suppliers;
  • Matching payments to invoices on Supplier accounts;
  • Reconciling Goods Received, not Invoiced, Account (GRNI);
  • Create new supplier accounts.

Suitable Candidate for the Finance Assistant vacancy: 


  • Some finance experience would be preferable;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Confident verbal and written communication skills;
  • Good team working skills and a positive, pro-active attitude;
  • Ability to plan, prioritise and organise own workload with established timescales.

  • Salary £12.50 per hour to £13.50 per hour.
