Operations Finance Assistant - Bishops Stortford



An exciting opportunity for an ambitious Finance Assistant looking to further your�career.

The Role:




  • Produce weekly management reports to assist Engineering and Technical managers with spend tracking

  • Complete the weekly KPI tracker for the Senior Leadership Team to monitor business performance

  • Support the Head of Operations Finance in periodic Management Accounts and S&OP processes

  • Assist in the annual Budget process

  • Maintain and ensure integrity of product costs on SAP and associated bills of material

  • Develop processes and SAP reporting and controls

  • Provide SAP training for all new starters

  • Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations



Candidate Profile:




  • Proven financial acumen and interest in the sector

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with non-financial colleagues

  • Exceptional attention to detail and a curious nature

  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks

  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of cross-functional teams and build strong working relationships

  • Resilience to work in a high-pressure environment and meet strict deadlines

  • Eagerness to acquire new knowledge and develop new skills

  • Proficiency in SAP (or equivalent ERP)

  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office, especially Microsoft Excel



Qualifications:




  • Relevant finance experience

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Degree educated (or equivalent)

  • Progress towards a recognized professional qualification from a major UK accountancy body (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
