At NPL, we touch ordinary lives in extraordinary ways, and you could too.As the Finance Analyst, you'll report into the Head of Financial Strategy & Planning and work closely with and to support scientific groups, Group Leaders and Project Managers. This is a fixed term contract role for 9 to 12 months.What you'll be doing:Producing reports and key financial performance information, such as monthly group management accountsSupporting the periodic forecasts - challenging the quality and integrity of the data and flagging any areas of concern, as well as putting forward possible solutions.Sharing knowledge and providing guidance, training and development for team members.Assisting the Finance Strategy team with daily tasks including timely analysis and reportingAnalysis of financial data and production of management accounting information for the business.Continuous review of project cost and revenue allocation and escalating as necessaryWe are now working in a hybrid way, with a mix of remote and office working. In this role you can expect to be on site minimum 2 days per week. This will be dependent on the role you do and part of the business you work in.About YouYou'll be able to effectively communicate and convey complex financial information clearly to stakeholders at all levels, this will improve the understanding of key drivers of performance across the larger and more complex projects within the portfolio.
