Finance Administrator

We are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity with one of our clients located in Egremont. We are currently seeking a dedicated individual to join their team and provide financial administration support. This role involves delivering efficient administrative services to guarantee both customers and suppliers receive top-notch professional assistance.

Working 37.5 hours a week which can be worked over Monday- Friday or Monday - Thursday this is a permanent position.

Key Responsibilities

  • To respond to routine correspondence and enquiries from staff, customers, suppliers and other stakeholders
  • Regularly input data into company databases and monitor updates
  • Manage training for all staff
  • Assist the company QS and H&S advisor where necessary
  • Enter purchase invoices and reconcile on a weekly and monthly basis
  • Payment for supplier invoices to meet payment terms
  • Raise sales invoices as and when required, ensuring customer funds are received on time
  • Process employees times on a daily basis and enter into the system & Sage payroll
  • Update and monitor the company's social media profiles
  • Organise meetings, producing meeting templates and minutes
  • To receive visitors and phone calls in a manner
  • Prepare and distribute documents throughout the company and to correspondence
  • To provide a range of clerical duties including sending e-mails, filing, message taking, preparing documents, photocopying etc.
  • Answer incoming calls and assume other receptionist duties when needed
  • Book accommodation and make travel arrangements
  • Maintain computer and manual filing systems

Core Skills and Requirements

  • Ability to communicate confidently at all levels
  • To work to the values of the organisation and display high standards of integrity and professionalism towards clients and colleagues
  • Proven accountancy/administrative experience
  • AAT Accountancy qualification desirable although not essential
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Knowledge of the accountancy system SAGE would be preferred
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills
  • Ability to work individually and as an effective team member
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Contributes to company policies on environmental issues
  • Contributes to company polices on H&S
  • Contributes to company policy and equality and diversity
  • A positive 'can do' attitude
