We are recruiting for a
Finance Accounts Manager , to join our growing Commercial Insurance Finance team, based in
Birmingham/ Wolverhampton.
You will be reporting to the Finance Manager, supporting the Commercial Solutions Finance team in the day-to-day management of client and insurer accounts for the NFP UK Holdings group of companies.
Overview of duties:
Reconcile insurer accounts on a regular basis and make payments within terms of credit as required
Support the credit control function by providing regular reporting as required to those responsible for the client relationships
Review and pay client credits
Post cash to both sage and back-office systems ensuring they are up to date at all times
Liaise with insurers to resolve individual customer payment queries in accordance with Insurance Advisor/Account Executive
Assist and resolve general day to day accounting queries with Insurance Advisor/Account Executive
Ensure that return premiums are sent to customers as and when requested
Liaise with Account Executives/Brokers and customers for outstanding premiums
Ensure that all compliance responsibilities are recorded and reported as required
Additional responsibilities:
Maintain a professional image of self and the Group to all customers and insurers
Work alongside the Group Auditors each year for the FCA audit in respect of Compliance and Client Money
Build technical knowledge to achieve/maintain competence and maintain own training records
Process and reconcile all premium finance agreements as required.
Process, reconcile and issue customer receipts for cheque payments.
Assist with the audit to ensure compliance with our cover holders
Support the wider finance team with ad-hoc finance tasks as required.
Person specification:
Knowledge, skills and abilities:
Good communicator: Able to communicate effectively across the business with colleagues, via e-mail and face to face. Provides good impression when dealing with debtors and able to influence these groups to ensure own workload is fulfilled
Excellent organiser, Including time management and prioritisation: Manages own time effectively and able to manage the expectations of other stakeholders regarding delivery timescales. Keep line manager informed of delays and adheres to deadlines
Activity oriented: Works at a fast pace but doesn’t sacrifice attention to detail, enjoys being busy
Attention to detail: Ensures that work is checked thoroughly and picks up on small errors. Able to compare numerical and written information and spot patterns and/or discrepancies
Education and experience:
Accounting experience in a fast-paced working environment
An understanding of the FCA Client Money rules is desirable
Previous experience in a financial services environment or service sector
Experience with systems and naturally analytical

35 hours Monday - Friday
Location:
Birmingham/ Wolverhampton - hybrid
