Accounts Administrator £25000- £27000 NW10 (M-F office hours 8.30-5pm)Must live within commutable distance of NW10 and have a steady work history.Purpose of roleTo process financial transactions such as invoices to customers, cash receipts and supplier invoices. Produce accurate and timely financial information throughout the year so the franchise owner can monitor the performance of the business towards profit goals.Key responsibilityTo organise and prepare accurate accounting records and produce timely financial information for the franchise owner, the company accountant and HMRC.DutiesUse accounting software to generate customer invoices and credit notes. Send out customer statements and liaise with customers to obtain any outstanding paymentsCheck supplier invoices either against the purchase orders, or by obtaining approval from the member of staff who authorised the order. Input all supplier invoices into the system. Pay supplier invoices in a timely manner or pass to the nominated person who has control of the company bank accountMaintain the chart of accounts (this is the named code of each account) in the softwarePay other expenses on time or pass to the nominated person who has control of the company bank account. This may include payroll, HMSO payee/NI, corporation tax etc.Input any payments and receipts (including customer receipts) into the accounting systemReconcile all bank accounts on a regular basis to ensure their accuracyowner to monitor the financial conduct of the businessMaintain the petty cash fund (e.g. record cash receipts) and reconcile on a monthly basisPay in cheques and cash receipts to the bank promptlyIn addition to the above duties the accounts assistant will also be required to:Process payroll in a timely manner and post the journal into the accounts systemProcess prepayment and accruals in the accounts on a monthly/quarterly basisUpdate the fixed assets schedule and process depreciation in the accounts softwareProduce on a timely basis monthly/quarterly accounts for the franchise ownerThe ideal candidate will have experience as a finance administrator , be happy to do some admin and have working knowledge of Sage Accounting software.Added advantage if you have an understanding of the social care industry.
