We work with some of the world's leading brands, and we're assembling a world-class global team across London, Lisbon and New York!About the RoleKey Responsibilities include:Reporting to the Director of Finance and managing a team of senior accountants, junior accountants, and third party contractors.Owning the accounting department's day-to-day operations including accounts receivable, accounts payable, customer/vendor queries, and banking.Managing all major accounting projects by monitoring and distributing department work to direct reports and third party contractors.Evaluation, development, and improvement of departmental controls, technology systems, and processes to improve accuracy and efficiency.Support FP&A in providing ad hoc reporting requests for management, stakeholders, and external parties such as suppliers, investors, and lenders.Ascertaining that all accounts and accounting processes are in compliance with country-specific rules.Providing all accounting and financial reports and documents needed by the company's external auditors and tax consultants.Managing month-end and year-end close process, ensuring they are done properly, on schedule, and comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).Calculating and filing corporate tax returns for the company to the nation's revenue authorities.About YouThe successful candidate will have the following experience:Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent.Experience in international businesses (UK, EU, North America).6-8+ years accounting/finance experience.2-3+ years experience overseeing day-to-day accounting/finance operations (AP, AR, Close).2-3+ years experience managing teams.B2B SaaS experience (experience with Marketplaces or start-ups is a plus).Experience of working in a fast-growth, scale-up environment.Experience in process implementation / continual improvement.Highly collaborative and strong business partnering skills with the ability to build relationship with colleagues across different departments.Strong people manager able to develop direct reports and manage various projects at once.Ability to be dynamic and operate both as part of a team and autonomously when necessary.Ability to be hands-on in your approach, not shying away from getting down in the detail when necessary.Extremely analytical mindset with a high attention to detail.About the BenefitsCompetitive salary and share options.Unlimited holiday.Vitality Healthcare.Flexible & remote/hybrid working.A super friendly working culture populated by fun and dedicated people.We believe that a diverse team will help us achieve our mission sooner and we're actively seeking applications from candidates of all backgrounds.Department Finance & Operations Role Finance Manager Locations London
