Multiskilled Installation Engineer

Expertise in Automatic Doors, Gates, Barriers, Shutters OR Access Control Systems required

Greater Bristol Area & South West

Fantastic opportunity to join a national engineering firm in their rapidly expanding Access Control division. Headquartered in the North-West, they are now looking to expand their installations and service engineer team around the Greater Bristol area. If you're experienced in automatic doors, gates, barriers, roller shutters or access control systems with a strong work ethic who loves getting out onsite, we'd love to hear from you. Great earnings potential and plenty of overtime available.

You'll need to be based in or around Bristol or the South West, able to work in a field-based capacity focusing on the installation, maintenance and servicing of their access control products on client sites. Full driving license essential.

What's on offer

Up to £19.00 per hour (equivalent to £39.5K)

Plus £2.4K admin compliance bonus

Working 8.30am-5.30pm Mon-Fri

£250 on-call rate plus hours onsite

1.5x rate for evenings, 2x rate for lates/weekends

Own van plus all mileage (including personal)

Paid door-to-door

About You

You'll need a broad engineering background covering electrical and mechanical elements primarily, and an understanding of the specifics of Automatic Gates/Barriers and Roller Shutters.  They have a diverse product set, so provided you have a good understanding of some of their products, full training will be given on the others.  The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate some or all of the following: -

  • Proven experience of Automatic Gate / Door / Barrier / Shutter / Turnstile / Bollard or wider Access Control engineering
  • Great problem solving skills
  • A Broad electrical / mechanical skillset  
  • Full driving licence
  • CSCS / SSSTS ideal
  • Good customer and time management skills
  • ADSA / DHF Qualifications would be a benefit
