My client is a UK leading manufacturer and is one of the biggest brands within the forklift sector and they are on the search for a Field Service Engineer to join their team. If you are an engineer who wants to work on exciting products with opportunities to train, up skill, and expand your knowledge, then this role could be for you. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be covering Beaconsfield, Slough, Woking, and surrounding areas, carrying out general maintenance, and repairs, and servicing a range of gas, diesel, and electric-powered trucks. We will consider engineers from the following backgrounds: forklift trucks, heavy plant, agriculture, powered access, and/or automotive.

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Service Manager, this role as a Field Service Engineer will be expected to be in control of the maintenance, service, and repairs of material handling equipment on various customer sites. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be working with an assortment of equipment including diesel, gas, and electric. You will be expected to manage your own work in progress, ensure all relevant paperwork is completed accurately, attend regular training courses to maintain up-to-date knowledge of equipment, and be an active team player sustaining the company's prestigious reputation.

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 2/3 qualified in Plant, Vehicle Maintenance or similar
  • Preferably served a full apprenticeship
  • Experienced Plant Fitter, FLT Engineer, Vehicle Technician, HGV Technician or Ex forces will all be considered for this opportunity
  • Technical experience in Engines, Electrics and Diagnostics is compulsory. Hydraulics and all other engine types are required also.
