Job Title: Steam Project Field Engineer
Location: Northeast (UK Coverage)
Salary: Competitive, based on experience

Job Purpose:
As a Steam Field Engineer with our client, you will play a crucial role in delivering cutting-edge steam solutions across various industries. You will be responsible for identifying customer requirements, tailoring bespoke solutions, ensuring customer satisfaction, and contributing to the overall success of the projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct site surveys to determine the technical requirements for potential rental solutions.
  • Contribute to the design phase of the projects, including steam pipework and boiler feed water pipework.
  • Perform commissioning activities prior to customer handover.
  • Carry out service checks and attend breakdowns when necessary.
  • Efficiently manage PSSR2000 inspections, in collaboration with the competent body.
  • Maintain regular communication with customers to understand their requirements and deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Manage the spares management system effectively.
  • Provide technical support to the sales team during the tendering phase.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to promote products and services.


Key Skills/Attributes & Experience:
  • Marine engineering or Navy background would be highly beneficial
  • Previous engineering experience, preferably in steam boilers.
  • Commissioning experience, particularly with steam boilers, is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Weishaupt & Driezler burners is advantageous.
  • Strong track record in health, safety, and environment (HSE) practices.
  • Proficiency in pipework, hosework, and associated ancillaries.
  • Ability to read P&ID diagrams and electrical schematics.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Understanding of the business goals and the ability to align personal performance accordingly.
  • Persuasive and influential, with a focus on achieving results.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
