Hexagon Recruitment are pleased to be recruiting for our prestigious client who are looking to add to their current Team a further Electrical Mechanical Field Service Engineer.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Technical Support.  Remote support of customers via telephone and using remote support software to diagnose problems, identify user issues, monitor systems, and carry out configuration changes.
  • Field Service.  Visiting sites to carry out planned preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance following a machine failure, installation of new equipment and installation of upgrades, working alone or as part of a team.
  • Implementation/Training.  Providing excellent user software and hardware application training post installation using a defined training programme to ensure the customer has the skills to maximise productivity.
  • Technical Sales Support.  Support of the sales process providing Technical expertise and input as and when required.

Required Qualifications and Experience:


  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an industrial maintenance environment.
  • Apprentice trained in an engineering discipline.
  • Qualified in electrical engineering (preferably to HNC level)
  • Preferably experience working as a field service engineer.

Required Capabilities:


  • Electro/mechanical fault finding ability (electrical bias).
  • Fault-finding skills on hydraulic and pneumatic applications.
  • PLC fault-finding skills (interrogate plc and make minor alterations)
  • Excellent communication Skills & Decision Making
  • Planning and Organising & Reporting & Administration IT Skills
  • Be Flexible to travel away from home (UK and International stay away)
