Position Overview:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Technical Specialist to join their team, focusing on lubrication and asset reliability for manufacturing sites. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in developing and implementing lubrication strategies, conducting reliability assessments, and optimising maintenance practices to ensure the smooth operation of critical machinery and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute lubrication programs tailored to the specific needs of manufacturing sites, including equipment lubrication schedules, product selection, and oil analysis protocols.
Conduct reliability assessments and root cause analyses to identify opportunities for improving equipment performance, uptime, and lifespan.
Collaborate with maintenance teams to implement predictive maintenance techniques and reliability-centred maintenance (RCM) strategies, leveraging data-driven insights to prioritise maintenance activities.
Provide technical guidance and support to onsite personnel regarding lubrication best practices, equipment troubleshooting, and safety protocols.
Monitor lubricant usage, inventory levels, and procurement processes to ensure optimal supply chain management and cost efficiency.
Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements related to lubrication, asset reliability, and safety compliance.
Requirements:
Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field. Advanced degree or certifications in lubrication management, reliability engineering, or asset management are a plus.
Proven experience in maintenance, reliability engineering, or lubrication management within a manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing lubrication programs, conducting reliability assessments, and utilizing predictive maintenance techniques.
Proficiency in lubrication analysis tools, computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), and relevant software applications.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, diagnose equipment issues, and develop effective solutions.
