Field Application Specialist

Invenia is working with a growing manufacturer of scientific instrumentation to hire multiple Field Application Specialists in Europe due to internal moves and promotions.

Role responsibilities:
If successful, you will join a growing European team and support customers across the UK and Ireland.
This role will be responsible for overseeing seminars and platform training within the field of protein production and cell & gene therapy. Additional responsibilities will include working in partnership with the sales team to demonstrate products and deliver technical presentations and working with customers long term to assist with experimental design and high-level troubleshooting.
This position mainly covers the UK and Ireland, however, there will be occasional travel to the rest of Europe (especially when training) and beyond may be required.
Travel is expected to be 50-70% and candidates must be willing to travel in the assigned territory.
What we are looking for:
The role will require a deep understanding of mammalian cell culture and hands-on experience with gene editing, cellular therapy and immunology, or in protein production and drug discovery/process development.
Experience with gene-editing techniques such as CRISPR/Cas9 is highly desirable.
Experience as a FAS or in a customer-facing role is desired but not essential. The company have had great success training and developing researchers.
