Position Overview:
As a Fashion Merchandiser for Saint and Sofia, you'll be at the forefront of shaping the visual and commercial success of business. You'll play a pivotal role in curating and managing our product assortment, ensuring that our offerings are both timely, on-trend and aligned with our brand identity. Your keen eye for fashion trends, superior analytical capabilities, and strategic mindset will drive our sales and enhance customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Assortment Curation: Select and curate a diverse range of products that resonate with our target demographic, align with seasonal trends, and reflect our brand's aesthetic. Collaborate closely with the design and marketing teams to ensure a cohesive product assortment.
Trend Forecasting: Stay ahead of fashion trends by conducting thorough market research, and analysing industry publications in order to work with our fashion design team on bringing to market the right product at the right time. Translate trend insights into actionable strategies for product development and assortment planning.
Inventory Management: Monitor product performance and inventory levels, optimising stock assortment to maximise sales and minimise excess inventory. Utilise data analytics and forecasting tools to anticipate demand and make informed inventory decisions.
Visual Merchandising: Partner with the creative team to develop visually compelling product presentations and merchandising strategies both online and offline. Ensure that product imagery, descriptions, and placement on the website enhance the customer shopping experience and drive conversion.
Pricing and Promotion Strategy: Set competitive pricing strategies that balance profitability with market demand. Identify opportunities for promotional activities and markdown optimization to drive sales and clearance of slow-moving inventory.
Competitor Analysis: Conduct regular benchmarking and analysis of competitor assortments, pricing strategies, and promotional tactics. Use insights to identify whitespace opportunities and differentiate our product offerings in the market.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Foster strong partnerships with cross-functional teams including design, marketing and operations. Collaborate closely to align merchandising strategies with business goals and ensure seamless execution of initiatives.

Experience and qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years experience in fashion merchandising, preferably within a market leader.
Strong understanding of fashion trends, consumer behaviour, and market dynamics.
Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis tools.
Superior proficiency in Google Sheets in particular.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Passion for fashion and a keen eye for style and aesthetics.
