Family Support Worker

I'm currently recruiting for a Support Worker to join a fantastic Family Support Residence in Harlow, Essex. This is a service that supports on a placement basis, offering independent assessments to children and their families.

Role: Family Support Worker
Location: Harlow, Essex
Hours: Permanent - 40 hours per week - 10 hour shifts
Salary: £25,000 - £27,000 (dependent on experience)

Duties of a Family Support Worker;
- To monitor and observe and keep appropriate written records.

- Provide 1:1 support / advice to parents & children.

- Demonstrate and promote social and interpersonal skills when appropriate.

- Keep appropriate written records.

- Meet agreed targets and objectives.

- Attend Family Reviews /Conferences as required

- Maintain appropriate relationships with Referrers and other Professionals.

- To provide aftercare where appropriate - To undertake any appropriate training as required

Requirements to be a Family Support Worker;
- Have the ability to support people with basic parenting and life skills

- Can encourage families to deal with day-to-day issues related to raising children

- Ability to work with a range of professionals to help work towards a positive outcome

- Experience working in the Social Care Industry
