Family Support Child Protection Senior Social Worker

London Borough of Lambeth are looking to expand their current team with a dedicated Family Support Child Protection Senior Social Worker looking for an opportunity to join a well-structured and organised team. This Family Support Child Protection role will be for an initial 3-6 months with potential for extension subject to internal circumstance and your performance.

Family Support Child Protection Senior Social Worker Responsibilities include:

• To implement positive change in complex cases in children, families and carers lives by using systemic social work methods, models, and tools.
• Manage and minimise risks of abuse and neglect as well as meeting care needs while exercising a high quality of professional judgement.
• To lead and oversee professional judgements in the context of the relevant legal and policy frameworks.
• To undertake and advise on high need comprehensive/complex and proportionate assessments of children using the assessment framework
• Establish and develop collaborative robust working with partner agencies
• To carry out safeguarding enquiries, support the work of others involved in these enquiries, and to support children, families and carers
• Act in the role of the lead professional and be accountable in complex, statutory cases that require a qualified children's social worker

Experience Preferred / Minimum Requirements:

• Previous experience working as a Family Support Child Protection Senior Social Worker
• SWE Registration
• Enhanced DBS/CRB (we can obtain for you)
• Eligibility to Work in the UK
