Family Solicitor / Supervisor

We are looking to expand our Family department. We seek a solicitor specialising in all aspects of private law Family work.
Job Description
Our Family department currently deals with all areas of Family Law. We act for parents in care proceedings including representation at pre proceedings meetings. We undertake privately funded work in relation to all aspects of divorce and separation, including disputes in relation to finances and children. Some of our private law children work is funded under Legal Aid. We also deal with applications under the Family Law Act, both Legal Aid and privately funded.
Our ideal candidate would have at least 3-5 years' PQE and be a member of Resolution. We are looking for a candidate with Family Law panel membership or a Resolution accredited specialist as the role will include supervision of a trainee/junior members of staff and a supervisory responsibility for the purpose of the Legal Aid regulations. The candidate should have sufficient experience to work confidently and independently with minimal supervision. We require some experience of Legal Aid work or a willingness to be trained in the conduct of Legal Aid matters in private law children’s cases and in respect of Family Law Act applications.
The ideal candidate will also either have a following or be prepared to work on building up a caseload, preferably of primarily privately funded matters.
In addition to the above, our successful candidate will have goodinterpersonal and IT skills, and the ability to work as part of a small but friendly team.

Salary – generous market salary based on experience.

Location: Town centre location within Reading town, RG1 1TZ close to train and bus facilities. Parking may be considered.
