Apricus Resourcing are working with a well recognised charity as they’re looking for a Family Recovery Worker for a long term fixed contract role based from Swindon.
Within your role you will be working with complex social care service users including pregnant clients, parents etc, the role will include a mixed caseload that will carry both alcohol and opiates and the caseload will be around the 40 person mark.
You will be working within a team that aims to reduce the impact of drug and alcohol use on families, carers and significant others by working with individuals and supporting units improve or secure their physical and psychological health, family and relationships, financial situation, employment and social life and will facilitate harm reduction, brief advice, information, and system guidance for those seeking support around the impact of substance use in their life.
In addition to one-to-one and group support the successful candidate will be expected to support service user involvement, Peer2Peer delivery, mutual aid and consultation for family and carers, the team are seeking candidates who have experience of working within recovery roles whether in a housing, health care or substance misuse context and have a deep personal commitment to inspiring the possibility of recovery in others.
Other duties to your role will include
* Working closely with service users to help reintegrate them back into their communities
* Help service users reduce their SM related harm
* Help formulate Care Plans and review these on a regular basis
* Take part in regular 1-2-1 sessions
* Take part in group sessions
* Work with external providers to help service users reach their goals, this may include work with social services, housing associations etc
* Offer advice when required, service users will look to you for regular help and guidance
In return for your commitment we are able to offer a very competitive rate of pay of between £18.00 - £18.55/h per hour dependent on experience, however it may be possible to negotiate above this for candidates with exceptional experience.
