We have been roasting coffee since 1963 in our factory near the Thames Barrier in Woolwich, London, UK. Despite the many changes in the coffee scene over the years, the importance of supplying coffee that is fresh, distinctive and delicious has always been our guiding principle.
We supply customers throughout the UK in the foodservice, wholesale, vending and retail sectors with a wide range of pack types. We have the capacity and resources to supply large tonnages to major coffee shop chains but are also small and flexible enough to provide first-class care and personal attention to our many independent and regional customers.
We are currently looking for a Factory Production Manager for our factory in Woolwich, London, UK. The following are the main abilities and responsibilities required by the role:
To lead and manage the factory team of 7 people.
To plan each day's production and allocate tasks to individuals accordingly.
To ensure the factory team complies with the company’s BRC Food Safety system.
To liaise and work closely with the Managing Director in organising the receipt and use of raw coffee and packaging.
Experienced forklift truck driver.
To learn and understand how to operate the following equipment:
- Colour label printers
- Online thermal printers
- Two Lilla coffee roasting machines
- Four Gainsborough coffee packing machines
- Several other packing, sealing, weighing and grinding machines
Other requirements
Applicants must have excellent English language skills (written and spoken).
Must have been residing in the UK for at least the last 3 years.
Preferably living within commuting distance of Woolwich, London SE18.
Working relationships
As well as the MD, the Production Manager works closely with the Customer Service Manager, liaising on customers’ orders to ensure orders are produced and despatched on time.
Salary : £34,000 Per Annum
