Job Type: Part Time, Permanent

Location: Newcastle upon Tyne

Salary: £26,873 - £28,770 per annum.

The Role

Facility Services and Civic Management work across the city and Gateshead providing building cleaning, caretaking, school meals and welfare catering services.

We have a large team of cleaners, cleaner supervisors, facility supervisors (caretakers), catering assistants, assistant chef’s and chef’s working various hours and shifts in schools and public buildings.   

Their service is committed to delivering a high standard of service to their customers and in doing so investing in their staff and staff development.

We are currently looking for reliable and friendly people with a positive attitude to join their team as a Facility Supervisor (Caretaker).

Skills and Qualifications

• Has good customer service skills
• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with problems on site
• Knowledge of cleaning standards with the ability to undertake cleaning tasks
• Capable of regular stooping, bending, lifting and carrying of equipment, materials, furniture and climb ladders.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work with limited supervision
• Good spoken English with the ability to communicate effectively with the public
• Experience of management/supervision of staff
• Knowledge of Health and Safety procedures and how to apply them in the workplace
• Is self-motivated and able to work to fixed deadlines
