Job Title: Facilities Technician
Location: Bedfordshire�
Salary: Up to �39,000 depending on experience�
Job Purpose:
Our client, a market-leading international group in vehicle testing, is seeking a Facilities Technician to join their engine testing department. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of various testing equipment used in engine, vehicle, and driveline systems testing.�

Responsibilities:

• Perform reactive repairs on a variety of test equipment.
• Conduct scheduled maintenance, servicing, and calibration tasks on equipment.
• Assist in developing engineering solutions to day-to-day technical issues.
• Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers.
• Order parts and maintain stock of critical items.
• Conduct risk assessments & method statements.

Key Skills/Attributes & Experience:

• City and Guild in Automotive or Engineering.
• Experience in a practical problem-solving role is essential.
• Experience supporting mechanical and electrical systems maintenance and calibration programmes.
• Knowledge of calibration, service, and repair of emissions measurement equipment advantageous.
• Mechanical and electrical systems repair competence.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel and Word.
• Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Excellent fault diagnostic and repair skills.
• Autonomous, enthusiastic, and self-driven.
• Methodical, thorough, and calm under pressure.
• Good understanding of H&S practices.
