Date Posted:#####-04-18Country:United KingdomLocation:Rockwell Collins UK Limited, 730 Wharfedale Road, Winnersh, Wokingham, Berkshire, England, RG41 5TPPosition Role Type:UnspecifiedThe Facilities and EHS Team are seeking a Facilities Technician with a background in electrical works to join our team in Winnersh, UK.This is an all round and varied facilities maintenance role within an established team at a modern building within the aerospace industry.Working with the Senior Facilities Tech and Facilities Apprentice you will have a background in preventative and reactive maintenance and hold a 17th Edition electrical qualification or equivalent. We are looking for someone who can confidently take on the following tasks;Electrical works including light fittings in the DIAILL system, new cabling installations, amendments to existing set ups and runs, understanding the buildings demand and load, thermal imaging of DB boards and remedial works, PAT testing, compliance with the Collins electrical working policy.Ideally PASMA qualifiedBecome fully conversant with our applicable risk assessments, policy and procedural requirements and work within the necessary regulatory requirementsLearn the buildings BMS system including lighting and HVACGeneral preventative maintenance tasksReactive maintenance tasksPrioritising your workload to meet customer expectationsOccasional emergency call outs out of hours (weekends and over night) which are unescortedWorking with and escorting 3rd party contractors including onsite coordination and creating work permitsUnderstanding of the buildings infrastructure, utilities, emergency equipment and legislative requirements.The ideal candidate will be:Approachable and ready to helpAble to priortise their workload.Efficient and hold themselves to a high standard of workA strong communicator who is happy to converse with people at all levels of the businessKeen to learn and develop their career within FacilitiesLooking for ways to improve processes and embrace changeThis is a full time, on site role.Collins Aerospace Diversity & Inclusion Statement:Diversity drives innovation; inclusion drives success.
