Join our team as a Facilities Technician in the Powertrain division, based in Bedfordshire. Your role is pivotal in maintaining the seamless operation of our equipment through diligent maintenance, servicing, calibration, and prompt repairs.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Conduct reactive repairs on various test equipment.
• Perform scheduled maintenance, servicing, and calibration tasks.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to devise solutions for technical challenges.
• Manage relationships with key suppliers and oversee parts ordering.
• Ensure adherence to risk assessments and method statements.

Qualifications:

• City and Guild qualification in Automotive or Engineering.
• Relevant time-served experience is prioritized over HNC/HND qualifications.

Experience:

• Practical experience in problem-solving roles.
• Previous test bed experience in automotive testing.
• Experience supporting maintenance and calibration programs for mechanical and electrical systems.
• Familiarity with AVL Puma, Horiba STARS, or Kratzer PATools systems is beneficial.

Skills:

• Proficiency in mechanical and electrical systems repair.
• Ability to conduct equipment servicing, calibrations, and fault-finding.
• Competence in test bed and equipment calibration and maintenance.
• Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Excellent organizational and analytical abilities.
