Our client, a leading provider of environmental solutions, is seeking a Waste Management & Cleaning Service Technician to join their team at their Oxford Facility. Job Description:
As a Waste Management & Cleaning Service Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring efficient waste management and cleaning services within a busy factory environment. Your responsibilities will include adhering to company policies and procedures, complying with health and safety regulations, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
Responsibilities:
Collect and process all site-generated waste, including segregation, baling, compacting, and general disposal, in accordance with local operating procedures.
Undertake waste and cleaning duties as directed by the Team Leader, ensuring the cleanliness of assigned areas at all times.
Act independently and use initiative to complete assigned tasks efficiently.
Utilise a mobile phone cleaning app for logging and tracking work, as well as recording any faults identified during shifts.
Safely operate waste compactors, baling machines, vacuum cleaners, and other equipment as required.
Conduct regular checks on machinery and equipment, reporting any faults or defects to the Cleaning Team Leader or Facilities Manager.
Comply with all health and safety policies, reporting any hazards or concerns to the appropriate authorities.
Attend training sessions as required and communicate effectively with team members and client representatives.
Working Hours:
40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 06:00 - 14:00.
Overtime opportunities available for absence cover or ad hoc tasks as required.
Experience Required:
Experience and knowledge of waste and facilities management.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a busy manufacturing environment.
GCSE level education for literacy and numeracy.
Desirable Experience:
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
Counterbalance Forklift Truck Licence.
IT proficiency.
Working knowledge of waste legislation (training provided).
Forklift truck experience (optional).
