World Renowned Art Gallery

Central London - fully office based

Salary - up to £45k

This super creative and innovative art gallery are looking for a Facilities Manager to work alongside one other to lead on the day to day operations. You will be responsible for managing the Facilities Assistants as well as managing the delivery of projects, day to day running of the building and management of building contractors. This is a very busy, hands on role working with a small team in Central London.

Main duties will include:

Buildings and Estate Management

* Lead on the day to day operations of the building

* Deliver and monitor a planned and preventative maintenance programme and establish and maintain effective procedures and systems.

* Manage contractors, budgets and procurement

* Manage budgets and procurement to ensure cost-effectiveness of all services

* Manage space planning and refurbishment projects

* Maintain security, fire alarms, lifts, lighting etc

* Coordinate new starters on behalf of the facilities team

Facilities Team & Health and Safety

* Provide effective management to the Facilities team and line management of the Facilities Assistant

* Support events across the two buildings from a facilities point of view

* Manage H&S compliance across the sites ensuring regulations are met

* Carry out desk assessments

* Ensure high standards of presentation and service in all areas

ICT infrastructure

• Responsible for maintaining and optimising site networks and servers

• Liaise with the IT provider who provides network and systems support to the Galleries staff and manage the onsite IT Engineer.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Essential

* Health & Safety qualification (NEBOSH & IOSH)

* Experience in Facilities Management

* Experience supervising employees

* Experience of managing third party contractors

* Experience of reviewing and negotiating contracts

* Experience of managing Health & Safety compliance and drawing up risk assessments

* Excellent IT skills and use of MS office software

* Experience of managing budgets and ensuring best value

* Ability to work under pressure and to prioritise a busy workload

* Must be prepared to train and obtain First Aid Qualification

* Ability to work flexibly as part of the team to manage fluctuations in workload

Desirable

* Interest in contemporary art, or experience of working within an arts environment

* Experience of working in a listed building

* Experience with project management
