Facilities Engineer
Location: Coventry
Contract: Inside IR35
18-month initial contract
Key Performance Indicators of the Facilities Engineer:
- Deliver cycle time improvements through new facility implementation and optimisation.
- Deliver facility requirements to support increased premium paint volume demand with an appreciation for Cost, Quality, and Time.
- Delivery of new technology to support sustainability strategies.
- Support the overall future manufacturing strategy
- Support digitalisation through facility data processing.
- Ensure all facility design and implementation is fit for purpose and compliant with UK legislation to support internal and external auditing.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities of the Facilities Engineer:
- Assess the feasibility of new facilities and processes, development, and management of projects for cost, quality and timing.
- Support the area by providing the required capability and capacity at the manufacturing facilities and supporting equipment, aligned to the programme milestones, launch plans and production requirements.
- Complete feasibility and cost evaluations for proposed new or modified facilities and processes to define robust delivery plans with minimised disruption to operations.
- Develop engineering solutions that are suited to the capabilities of the appropriate facility and its associated process characteristics as directed.
- Develop robust/lean layout solutions to support facility project delivery or process/operational efficiency improvements.
- Maintain and develop all Health, Safety and Operational Risk Management processes and site-specific processes and systems in the area.
- Contribute to the ongoing Environmental Innovation and Reporting (Energy, Water, Waste) compliance.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience of the Facilities Engineer:
Essential:
- A sound engineering and manufacturing background with previous experience in Facilities Development in Manufacturing.
- Proven experience and understanding of facilities processes, equipment, and leading technologies.
- Experience in reliability and maintainability principles and an understanding of the environmental impacts of manufacturing engineering solutions.
- Degree qualified or equivalent experience preferred.
Desirable:
- Experience in delivering both operational and strategic transactional and Facilities Management solutions across an array of engineering sites, buildings, and customer types.
- Experience with paint technologies and paint shop operational systems.
- Contract and performance management experience.
