Fabrication Engineer

Elevation Recruitments Skilled Shop Floor Team are proud to be working in partnership with a leading manufacturing business based in Huddersfield. We are currently recruiting for a Fabrication Engineer on a permanent basis. 
Fabrication Engineer
Working Hours:

38.75h per week

Monday to Thursday 7am – 4pm, Friday 7am – 11.45am  

Rate:

Overview of the role of the Fabrication Engineer:

• Ensure the day-to-day support in the production of the company product range within the fabrication group.
• Within each discipline ensure product is manufactured/surface finished as per Company specification
• Ensure work is completed within budget and project requirements.
• Coordinate and prioritise parts in line with the project plan.
• Ensure an on-going review of best working methods, ensuring most cost-effective methods of production are utilized.
• Provide input into continual improvement of product designs to maximize cost savings.
• Assist with preventative maintenance on machines and equipment when required.
• Offer support and adhere to QA procedures to ensure business development in a controlled and structured framework.
• Support company R and D projects offering advice and assistance

Skills and requirements: 

• Must have a minimum of 5 years experience within welding and fabrication 
• Must have qualifications within welding and fabrication 
• Must have experience MIG/TIG/MMA welding
