DescriptionNorthpoint Roofing Systems, a renowned roofing company known for its commitment to excellence, customer satisfaction and ranked 653 on the prestigious Inc. 5000 list along with a 26th position in the competitive construction sector, is looking for a FAA licensed (Part 107) drone pilot to work out of our Birmingham office, Cardinal Roofing.The ideal candidate is tech savvy and has experience operating a drone while capturing images as directed for detecting roof damage and measurements. ResponsibilitiesTravel to residential and commercial properties to conduct roof inspections using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs/Drone)Meet and maintain the FAA qualification requirementsWork closely with sales team to plan and optimize travel routes ahead of timeCapture aerial footage and images and upload data to databaseDocument all activity in database with a high degree of accuracy and correctnessDevelop rapport and build relationships with potential customersMonitor weather conditions and airspace restrictions to ensure safe operationsAttend department meetings, keep current on sales information, products and industry trendsSource new sales opportunitiesRequirementsHigh school diploma or GEDCurrent FAA pilot certificateAt least 4+ years experience as a drone pilotPhotography skills is a plus Understanding of technical terms commonly used in the roofing is a plusValid driver's license and clean driving recordAbility to walk long distances, climb stairs, stand for long periods and lift 50 lbs. or greaterGood communication skillsCustomer service orientedTeam player (member of a sales crew)Familiarity with tablets, Apple iPads (iPadOS)Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
