Annual Salary: Upto £32,000Location: East LondonJob Type: Full-timeWorking Hours #removed# We are seeking a dedicated School Administrator to join our vibrant primary school team. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for our school, handling a variety of administrative tasks, from managing attendance to administering medicines.
This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth running of our school and requires someone with excellent organisational skills and the ability to communicate effectively with parents, staff, and students. Day-to-day of the role:
Answering phone calls and replying to emails promptly.Performing general photocopying, printing, and basic administrative tasks.Communicating with parents and handling inquiries.Taking payments on behalf of parents and managing financial records.Covering the role of Attendance Officer, checking children’s attendance, and making absence calls.Uploading and managing holiday, medical, and care plans on SIMS.Maintaining accurate records, including adding or removing parental details on SIMS.Administering children’s medicines and keeping track of medication dates.Creating medical posters and managing allergy/asthma care plans.Using school inventory systems for pupils and visitors.Updating school events on calendars and liaising with school nurses and third parties.Booking rooms and assisting with the organisation of school events.Supporting senior staff members with various tasks as needed.Managing club registers and processing payments using school communication systems.Recording incidents and safeguarding information on CPOMS. Required Skills & Qualifications:
Proven experience in an administrative role within a Primary School, preferably within an educational setting.Familiarity with school management systems such as SIMS.Strong organisational and communication skills.Ability to multitask and prioritise work effectively.Competence in handling sensitive information and maintaining confidentiality.Proficiency in using office equipment and computer systems, including MS Office.A friendly and professional demeanour.
