The Place
Our client is a family-owned, family-run hotel business providing a warm family welcome for guests and team alike. This resort is set in stunning Scottish pastures and offers great food & drink, great beds and a ton of things to do in a multiple-acre estate and is based in a very rural location. Now, they are looking for that next Executive Chef.
The Job
The main responsibilities in this Executive Chef role are to ensure the brigade delivers the very best, both service and product. You will be heavily involved with the senior kitchen team in implementing your own style of cooking with regard to your interpretation of the agreed menus, and you will ensure the profitability of all that is produced. Making sure that you and your team comply with all health and safety regulations, is at the heart of the business, it is all about training and developing all members of the team and ensuring that all learning and development plans are completed thus helping to drive standards and retain enthusiastic and quality driven individuals passionate about food.
The Person
The ideal candidate for this Executive Chef role will have experience within a quality hotel/resort environment or in a similar role, or aspiring to be. You will have excellent kitchen finance knowledge, be able to demonstrate a great understanding of food and current trends, work well under pressure, and be proactive. This Executive Chef role is ideally suited to an Executive Chef looking for a fresh challenge, or a Head Chef who is now looking for their first Executive Chefs role. Your CV must show consistency and longevity in each of the roles you have held, it will also clearly demonstrate a CV that is at ease with both hotel operations as well as at ease with attention to detail through premier and fine dining restaurant cuisine.
