MM Search are delighted to be working with Caledonia Housing Association on an Executive Director of Operations role. This Executive Director of Operations role follows a recent review of their Executive Structure, with the aim of enhancing the strategic capacity of Caledonia’s senior leadership team while ensuring Caledonia is well placed to deliver their ambitious business plan and respond to current pressures and challenges facing the social housing sector, such as achieving net zero standards, increasing the supply of affordable housing and investing in services and support that make a difference for our customers.
You will be a dynamic and progressive leader with an ability to deliver transformational change. As Executive Director of Operations you will be responsible for providing the leadership and strategic direction that provides an exceptional customer service to over 5,600 social housing tenants and 2,300 home owners across Scotland, while increasing the supply of affordable housing and developing sustainable communities through significant investment, new build and regeneration programmes.
Role Summary:
The Executive Director of Operations is a senior role at Caledonia Housing Group and will be responsible for strategic leadership and oversight of all aspects of housing operations, including: frontline customer service, housing management, property investment programmes, repairs and cyclical maintenance, support services, new build and regeneration projects. As an Executive Director, you will deputise for the Chief Executive as required.
Experience Essential-
Demonstrable experience of operating at a senior level including:
Evidence of impactful leadership and experience of operating as part of an Executive management team
Ability to develop and implement strategic plans that align with the organisation’s vision and mission, delivering short term operational goals aligned to long-term objectives
Proven ability to develop a culture that delivers a tailored and responsive customer service offer using customer insight to inform continuous improvement plans
Experience of financial planning and resource allocation to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of an excellent customer service offer
Experience of leading a complex service including multi-level and dispersed staff management structures and partnership frameworks
Experience in leading organisational change initiatives and developing resilient and agile teams Exceptional ability to develop strong, collaborative relationships with key stakeholders to maximise impact and achieve organisational goals
Dedication to promoting diversity, equity and inclusion in all aspects of social housing operations and programme delivery
Experience Desirable-
Strategic leadership role in a regulated sector
Qualifications and Knowledge Essential-
Educated to degree level or relevant professional qualification
Qualifications Desirable-
Member of relevant professional body
