This Executive Director of Finance role follows a recent review of the Executive Structure, with the aim of enhancing the strategic capacity of Caledonia’s senior leadership team while ensuring Caledonia is well placed to deliver our ambitious business plan and respond to current pressures and challenges facing the housing sector, such as achieving net zero standards, increasing the supply of affordable housing and investing in services and support that make a difference for our tenants and customers. Your leadership will drive not only sound financial management but also contribute to the continued growth and development of Caledonia. As Executive Director of Finance, you will be responsible for strategic leadership and oversight of all aspects of finance and treasury management, ensuring the financial health and sustainability of the organisation.

Role Summary:
The Executive Director of Finance is a senior role at Caledonia Housing Group and will be responsible for strategic leadership and oversight of all aspects of finance and treasury management, ensuring the financial health and sustainability of the organisation. The Executive Director of Finance reports directly to the CEO and works closely with the Caledonia Governing Body. You will deputise for the Chief Executive as required. As a member of the Executive Management Team you will be responsible for developing and implementing Financial and Treasury Management Strategy and Planning which will support the development and achievement of the Caledonia Housing Group strategic and financial objectives. Working closely with the Chief Executive and Governing Body, you will lead the development of financial strategies, initiatives and interventions focussed on growth and sustainable performance improvement.
Essential Experience-
Demonstrable experience of operating at a senior level including:
Experience of operating as part of an Executive management team Strong strategic leadership and ability to develop and implement financial strategies aligned to organisational plans and objectives.
Proven experience in managing finance teams, including the ability to provide guidance, coaching and performance feedback
Proven experience of managing different functional areas and delivering improvement and positive results
Ensuring efficient operation of treasury functions including funding, cash flow management and financial reporting
Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders Experience of ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and managing audits
Experience Desirable Strategic financial leadership in a regulated sector
Qualifications and Knowledge Essential-
CCAB or equivalent qualified accountant with a proven track record of achievement
Knowledge and comprehensive understanding of finance and related services
Strong understanding of the operating environment and its impact
Qualifications Desirable-
Member of relevant professional body
