Role: Delegate Sales Executive

Contract: Temporary

Working Hours: 1:00 PM or 2:00 PM start to correspond with US Hours

Sector: Financial Services Industry Events

Pay rate: £13 to £15 per hour + Holiday

Expected duration: 4-5 weeks

Location: Remote working - All candidates must be resident in the UK with a right to work

Our client is a global events, conferences, and publications leader in financial services, tech, and telecoms. We currently have an opening for an experienced sales professional to support with an urgent project.
Our client is looking for a Delegate Sales Executive to work on booking qualified delegates from large to mid-size companies in the US to attend an telecoms industry annual event (Paid event). The delegates are C-suite executives, heads of departments, and vice presidents.
The ideal candidate will have sales experience within events and conferences (Delegate Sales), with experience in making outbound calls, email/LinkedIn outreaches, and impeccable communication skills, and demonstrable experience selling to C-Suite Executives. The role will require a result driven individual to deliver a target number of tickets, and therefore a large effort to make a volume of calls/outreaches is required.
Responsibilities

  • Contact potential delegates who are senior decision makers from mid to large businesses, and talk them through the upcoming event agendas, and sell the event ticket/s, and confirm their invitations
  • Update CRM records with call and email interactions, and follow up contact
  • Achieve target delegate numbers for the event


Essential Characteristics

  • Degree Educated or equivalent education
  • A minimum of 1 year sales experience, preferably in B2B events, conference, or trade shows
  • Must enjoy and be highly motivated by new business development
  • Must be able to navigate their way through switchboards/gatekeepers, and get through to the right individual
  • Must have excellent telephone manner
  • Must be highly driven to succeed despite setbacks
  • Must be solution orientated in their approach to challenges and objections
  • Experience with Salesforce and Microsoft Excel (Preferable)
