We have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Event Sales Manager to join our team in a flagship location in Central London. The successful candidate will be able to effectively manage and plan all bookings in accordance with company or site policies and procedures and in accordance with pre-approved parameters, to ensure brand reputation is protected and profit margins are maintained.
To maximise up-selling opportunities for all London locations and to implement a yield management strategy for all room inventory and to oversee weekly event pack and communicate all relevant information to other departments during the pre-event meetings
WHAT WILL KEEP YOU BUSY:
• To proactively manage the event diary for both London locations, maximising yield from the core event and hospitality space
• To proactively develop and maintain relationships with key bookers, Pas and client event team
• To work in partnership with our Room Bookings team at ComXo
• To control and coordinate all enquiries generated from email, telephone, online, 3rd party resources
• To manage the EMS booking system. Ensuring the team is inputting information to the agreed standards to produce accurate reporting.
• To ensure the set company accounting procedures and administration key tasks are undertaken accordingly throughout the team
• To actively work towards the annual sales plan for events and hospitality
• To take the lead on all UK-wide Town Hall events, working with regional event teams and client team
• To stay fully updated on market trends and conditions
• To undertake regular benchmark exercise to ensure an innovative and relevant offer
• To gain an excellent knowledge of the client ways of working, policies and processes and maintain good working relationships with colleagues
• Attend sales planning meetings when required
• To work as part of a team and lead by example
• Attend financial review meetings as requested
• To provide updated weekly forecasts, BOB (business on the books)
• To represent WSH brands in a professional manner at all times in your behaviour, appearance and knowledge
• Assist with event planning and production of function sheets where required
• To perform any other reasonable duties as requested by your manager
