Event Manager - Fistral Beach
Do you have a passion for Sports, Music & events? This could be the perfect job for you. We're looking for a bright and enthusiastic event manager to support with the delivery and running of Fistral Beach during Boardmasters Festival.
This role is part of the Event Management team and reporting into the Senior Festival Manager. You will be responsible for the delivery of the Fistral Beach festival site which includes the Surf Village, Beach Bar and Boardmasters OPEN surf competition in partnership with the WSL.
Responsibilities
The Event -
Successfully deliver the Boardmasters Fistral Beach event site which is composed of Boardmasters OPEN Surf competition, beach bar and surf village.
Sport
- working with relevant teams to deliver the Boardmasters OPEN surf competition to the highest standard. This includes managing athletes, suppliers, booking travel and accommodation, managing requests, creating key documents and schedules and generally assisting the local sport team and the WSL.
Content Areas
– Support with the delivery & management of the different content areas: Beach Bar & Surf Village
Project management
- Working to project deadlines and helping other teams keep on track with delivery.
Accreditation
- Responsible for implementing and managing the accreditation process.
Budget
– Manage the Fistral event budget in its entirety.
Marketing
- You’ll be responsible for driving the different content and sport marketing campaigns brief and ensure their success.
Sponsorship
: Support with the planning and on-site delivery of each partner involved at Fistral.
Websites
- You’ll be keeping our festival websites up to date.
Event comms
– Support event leads as required around all the different content pieces, including merchandise.
Live Events
- Assist with the delivery and management of Fistral Beach event site. Main point of contact on site for all stakeholders.
Team welfare
– assist with the team wellbeing and key essentials on site.
Who we are looking for
The ideal candidate for this role will be a team player, detail orientated, and someone who can hit the ground running with a can-do attitude.
Whilst a degree or qualification in event management is helpful, it's not essential. We're more interested in finding the right candidate, with the right attitude and experience, who wants to get stuck in and create an awesome show.
Job requirement
Team player
Good organisational skills
Experience managing event budgets.
Ability to work through any given task to completion efficiently.
Proficient in Microsoft office including use of Excel.
Able to keep calm under pressure.
Previous experience working at events or festivals.
Approachable and a confident communicator
Good at problem solving and multi-tasking and able to lead a team whilst mucking in.
Desirable Attributes
‘Can do’ attitude – no task too big or small
Clean UK driving license
Previous use of Event Tree Software
