Cheshire Wellness aims to achieve and deliver an exceptional customer experience. To support our future aspirations of growth, we are expanding our U.K. team. We seek an experienced and diligent Estimator to accurately assess project costs and generate competitive and profitable quotations.
Key Responsibilities:
Understanding Client Requirements:
thoroughly review project plans, specifications, and drawings to gain a comprehensive understanding of material requirements, programme and project constraints.
Obtain Supplier Quotations & Research Costs:
Research materials, transport, equipment, and labour costs.
Collate quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
Data Analysis & Calculation:
Analyse quotations, historical cost data, industry standards, and market rates to accurately estimate expenses.
Assess the levels of risk associated with a project. (unforeseen challenges, market fluctuations, and external influences)
Calculate costs by analysing labour, material, and time requirements.
Preparing Quotations:
Create a professional and accurate quotation.
Demonstrate breakdown of costs and considerations
Supporting Bids and Contracts:
Collaborate closely with Sales Manager, providing essential data and support with bids for new contracts.
Ensure a seamless transition following receipt of order.
Costing additions and/or variations post sale.
Skills and Experience:
Minimum of 2 years experience as a successful Estimator
Minimum of 2 years experience working within the Construction Industry
Ability to interpret construction drawings.
Technical understanding of construction principles and trade sequencing
Strong analytical skills
Commercially minded.
Attention to detail.
The ability to work under pressure to meet set goals, budgets and deadlines.
Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet or estimating software.
The ability to manage time well and multitask.
