Our client, a leading provider of general contracting, fit-out, M&E , design, and manufacturing services, is seeking a skilled Estimator to join their dynamic team.
Job Description:
As the Estimator, you will be responsible for calculating construction cost estimates, for main contractor and Joinery Packages with project values from £100k to £15 million.
Key Responsibilities:
Assessing the total cost of materials, equipment, utilities, and labour for construction projects.
Generating precise Schedule of Works based on drawings and specifications.
Reviewing construction documents and analysing specifications.
Creating estimates for project planning, organization, and scheduling using fundamental principles.
Developing estimates to align with project objectives, including setting work hours, task sequencing, procurement of materials, and negotiating with vendors and subcontractors.
Ensuring timely submission of relevant documents and budgets before bid deadlines.
Providing regular project status updates to Management and clients.
Formulating contingency plans and managing risks affecting cost and time estimates.
Staying updated on the latest estimating technology and industry techniques.
Collaborating with other teams, conducting site visits, and supporting bid deliveries as needed.
