Estimator

PSR Solutions are currently working with a Tier 1 Contractor on a variety of M&E Rail projects in the South East.
Responsibilities:
The Estimator is responsible for ensuring that the estimated cost of a project is prepared correctly to company standard consistently. Knowledge of construction methods and all circumstances affecting work execution on a project within the rail M&E role based in Kent is essential.
- Ensure tender documents, addendums, client correspondence, etc., are logged on the server and issued to relevant team members.
- Produce sub-contractor enquiry schedule, obtain suggestions/feedback from tender team, procurement department preferred/approved contractor schedules.
- Issue sub-contract enquiries, including scope of works and attendance schedules, as applicable.
- Issue materials enquiries when required.
Experience required:
We are seeking someone with experience in M&E in construction, preferably in the rail sector. Strong analytical and numeracy skills are a must to evaluate detailed specifications, cost, and risk accurately. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, be self-driven, and have great attention to detail. Detailed knowledge of the latest processes, materials, and costs is essential. Familiarity with Conquest/Causeway/Coins or similar estimating software is a plus.
