Job Title: Estimator

Salary: �58,000 per annum DOE + Car Allowance

Job Purpose: Join our Business Development Team at based in , Barrow, as an Estimator. Your role will be crucial in meeting sales targets and company objectives, focusing on both renewals and new opportunities.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Manage the bid and resource coordination process, overseeing both direct and indirect staff.
- Propose innovative solutions to meet client requirements, staying informed about competitor methodologies.
- Prepare proposal submissions, including solution and option appraisals for new methods of FM service delivery.
- Drive continuous improvement in communications, management procedures, and systems to maximize profitability and operational efficiencies.
- Implement best practices through consultation and liaison with external bodies and other EFS divisions.
- Utilize EMCOR BMF Estimating package/system to verify bid validity and obtain specialist subcontractor costs.
- Read and understand client requests/documentation, labor load asset information, and attend site visits as required.
- Assist in correspondence and documentation production, update Pipeline Reporting System, and contribute to BD management information reports.
- Attend Divisional Bid Meetings, progress submitted tenders, and assist in formulating tender returns.
- Establish benchmarks for performance, measure performance versus contractual requirements, and identify cost-saving initiatives.
- Interact with client organizations, providing meaningful reports and proactive data and information.
- Fulfill other duties as directed by the Commercial Manager.
Person Specification: Qualifications and Experience:
- Educated to HNC/HND Standard or equivalent.
- Excellent management experience.
- Relevant qualification in quantity surveying (degree level preferable).
- Experience working within a QS capacity and estimating within the FM Industry.
- Experience in an SFG20 environment is desirable.
- Proficient in IT skills including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
