Job DescriptionKemtile is the UK’s leading designer and installer of hygienic flooring and drainage systems to the food and beverage market and a wide variety of other industries. Established in 1979, Kemtile has been trading for 40+ years and was acquired by Stonhard, part of the RPM Group in 2018 due to its established place in the UK market. As part of the Estimating/Surveying department, the scope of the Estimator-Surveyor, is to price incoming tenders and enquiries from clients and to manage the commercial element of these projects in conjunction with the dedicated project manager. Kemtile are striving for continuous improvement with the goal of growing market share and increasing profitability.Job role : Estimator-SurveyorReporting : Commercial Operations ManagerMissions : Collating quotes for materials and labour from suppliers and sub-contractorsLiaise with internal colleagues to clarify technical information Develop on-going relationships with suppliers Timely submission of complete and thorough tendersPlace orders on secured projects in conjunction with project teamManaging contracts to ensure all changes are recorded and agreed with customers Attending sites nationally to assist sales team with tender information or to collate account information for ongoing contractsMonitoring budgets on projects as well as supplier accounts and approvals for payments Preparing monthly applications for submission and managing accounts to closureThe successful candidate will have:A strong background in the construction industry, ideally with a minimum of 3 years working experience in a similar role and studied construction at college or universityExperience in take off software and developing tender proposals The drive to learn and develop as part of the business with support from colleagues but also with their own initiative A high level of excel proficiency A good level of commercial acumen.Understanding of the contract management processWe see the successful candidate as an individual with the appropriate skillset but just as importantly the correct attitude to develop and grow with the business.The successful candidate will be rewarded with a competitive salary, bonus opportunity, pension, death in service benefit, 24 days holiday plus bank holidays, a hybrid working policy and access to our Employee Assistance Programme.
