Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Estimator who will play a key role in our project planning and pricing processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of steel fabrication techniques, attention to detail, and the ability to accurately estimate costs for projects of varying complexity.
Responsibilities:
- Project Evaluation:�Analyse project requirements and specifications to understand scope and deliverables.
- Material and�Labour�Estimation:�Calculate material, labour, and other costs associated with steel fabrication projects.
- Bid Preparation:�Prepare accurate and competitive bids and proposals for potential projects.
- Vendor and Supplier Negotiation:�Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing for materials and services.
- Cost Tracking:�Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle and provide regular updates to project managers and stakeholders.
- Risk Assessment:�Identify potential risks and uncertainties in project estimates and propose mitigation strategies.
- Database Management:�Maintain and update a comprehensive database of costs, pricing, and project-related information.
- Collaboration:�Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure accurate and comprehensive project estimates.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Estimator in the steel fabrication industry.
- Strong knowledge of steel fabrication processes and materials.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Excel.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in estimating costs.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
