Position Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Estimator who will play a key role in our project planning and pricing processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of steel fabrication techniques, attention to detail, and the ability to accurately estimate costs for projects of varying complexity.

Responsibilities:

1. Project Evaluation:�Analyse project requirements and specifications to understand scope and deliverables.


2. Material and�Labour�Estimation:�Calculate material, labour, and other costs associated with steel fabrication projects.


3. Bid Preparation:�Prepare accurate and competitive bids and proposals for potential projects.


4. Vendor and Supplier Negotiation:�Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing for materials and services.


5. Cost Tracking:�Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle and provide regular updates to project managers and stakeholders.


6. Risk Assessment:�Identify potential risks and uncertainties in project estimates and propose mitigation strategies.


7. Database Management:�Maintain and update a comprehensive database of costs, pricing, and project-related information.


8. Collaboration:�Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure accurate and comprehensive project estimates.

Qualifications:

1. Proven experience as an Estimator in the steel fabrication industry.


2. Strong knowledge of steel fabrication processes and materials.


3. Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.


4. Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Excel.


5. Effective communication and negotiation skills.


6. Attention to detail and accuracy in estimating costs.


7. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
