Reporting directly to the Directors, the successful candidate will contribute to the overall success of the company by providing accurate and detailed cost estimates for prospective projects.Construction Estimator Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare detailed cost estimates for new build and refurbishment projects in commercial, education, industrial and leisure sectorsManaging pre qualification, quality and pre bid submissions?Collaborate with the bid team to develop competitive and compelling tender submissions?Conduct thorough cost analysis, ensuring accuracy and completeness of estimatesEngage with suppliers and subcontractors to embed a relationship culture and obtain competitive quotes and negotiate favourable termsIdentify and assess potential risks associated with construction projects, proposing effective mitigation strategiesMaintain organised and comprehensive documentation of all estimating activitiesIdentifying opportunities to add value throughout the project processWork closely with the Managing Estimator and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment with project objectivesSupporting junior members of the estimating, surveying and pre construction teamDesirable Skills and ExperienceRelevant degree or equivalent qualification in construction management, quantity surveying, or a related field preferred but not essentialIn-depth knowledge of construction processes, materials, and industry best practicesExperience of pricing projects both single and two stage tenders and negotiated opportunitiesProficient in relevant estimating software and Microsoft Office SuiteStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present and explain estimates to internal and external stakeholdersProven track record of delivering, work winning competitive tendersTaking off experience requiredCar driverEstimator / Construction / BedfordshireJBRP1_UKTJ
