Position: Estimator
Location: Cambridge
Salary: >£75k + benefits
This is a great opportunity for an experiencedEstimator to join our long-standing client who work within the construction industry across the country.
The Estimator will be responsible for:
Review proposed contract documents and provide feedback to post contract commercial team
Assess tenders as they come into the business and provide an appraisal of the opportunity to the commercial manager
Work with the commercial manager on tenders and agree the strategy for compiling the bid
Work with the enquiry team to develop a bid list of tendered contracts and suppliers
Work with the bid team providing guidance and input into the quality and suppliers
Preparation of tenders including but not limited to:
Preparing bill of quantities
Preparing sub contract packages
Identify RFIs and queries
Site visits
Pricing the bill quantities/ schedule of works
Review and assess supplier quotations
Developing the prelim book
Developing a set of qualifications and a report detailing commercial risk and opportunity
Attend post tender interviews
Respond to post tender queries
Attend handover meetings with post contract teams on successful bids
