Estimator Construction

Key Job Function:To be responsible for the preparation of all estimating associated with tenders of new works. This will require good communication and negotiation skills within the supply chain. Ideally you will be experienced within Utility Infrastructure schemes and substation builds.Key Duties and Responsibilities:Researching the cost of items such as materials, transport, labour and equipmentEstablishing and maintaining relationships with contractors and vendorsObtaining quotes from suppliers and contractors within a specified time frameAssessing the risk levels associated with a projectPreparing and submitting quotations and details of costs for work to be doneAssisting with bids for new contractsMonitoring the costs at the different stages of a project to ensure it stays within the estimated costsBe able to read drawings, client specifications and provide a detailed scope of works with breakdown.Skills and QualificationsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work at all levelsAbility to work to deadlines and under pressureGood presentation skills both written and verbalAbility to prioritise workload, work to tight deadlinesDemonstrate contractual understanding of buildings contractsMinimum 3 years experienceJBRP1_UKTJ
