Estimator (Building Maintenance Services)

GBR Recruitment are working in partnership with a leading Building Maintenance Services company, who deliver BMS�construction projects across Lincolnshire, South Yorkshire, Midlands &�East Midlands regions, recruiting for an experienced Estimator.�

This well established / progressive Construction company also carry out�planned &�reactive minor works /�maintenance works for an array of difference end using clients, across varied industry sectors, plus domestic works.

Their variety of clients�are across social /�affordable housing, food manufacturing, retail, education, commercial, industrial,�healthcare, public & private sector.

Fantastic & highly varied Construction Estimator role, seeking an Estimating professional with strong BMS background.�

Duties:�

• You will�deliver a competitive, margin focused &�accurate tendering function for BMS projects from multiple �1K's,�up to �5m. Undertaking�a variety of new build & refurbishment projects for varying customers.�


• Overseeing Traditional, plus Design & Build tenders


• Reviewing & Appraising tender / PQQ�documents, as well as successfully preparing sub-contract &�material enquiries


• Producing accurately detailed & accurately�measured bills of quantities (BOQ's)


• Risk mitigation methods / analysis & added�value / profit margin & revenue management


• Preparation of budgets, estimates, forecasts & construction�cost plans


• Tender adjudications &�external client presentations / negotiations.�

Attributes:

• You will be a professional Construction / Built Environment Estimator, with a strong & varied�building projects background, with extensive knowledge of all aspects of refurbishment &�new build construction across numerous industry sectors.�


• Strong knowledge of current CDM 2015 Health and Safety requirements, plus up to date with�modern methods of construction & construction projects contractual awareness.�


• PC literate & strong in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Project &�Excel


• Experienced in using estimating software packages


• HNC, Diploma, or Degree qualified in a construction-related subject matter, would be an advantage (not essential as time served / QBE considered too).


• Experience of procuring small & large subcontract packages.


• Ability to successfully manage a range of contracts at any one time.
