Exciting Opportunity: Estimator - Construction Division
Location: Ballymena Headquarters
Salary: £50,000+ (Negotiable based on experience)
Role Overview: We are currently seeking an experienced Estimator to join our client's busy and growing Construction Division. This role will be based in their Ballymena Headquarters. Join the dynamic team and play a pivotal role in tender processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all estimations.
Main Duties:
Log all tender enquiries and maintain electronic and paper tender files.
Review and analyse documentation including drawings, specifications, and client enquiries.
Quantify labour, materials, and plant based on take-offs from drawings.
Prepare bid packages for suppliers and ensure timely submission.
Input all information into Estimation software throughout the process.
Liaise with key Design and Contract Management team to determine contract methodologies and deadlines.
Identify potential tender opportunities and challenge conventional methods to enhance company profit.
Secondary Duties:
Develop professional relationships with main contractors, consulting engineers, and client bodies.
Seek out potential tender opportunities.
Any other duties as assigned by the Commercial Director.
Person Specification:
Minimum 5 years' experience in building services.
Proficiency in counting off, measuring, and pricing projects.
Ability to produce high-quality work under tight deadlines.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Proactive approach with keen attention to detail.
Ability to follow instructions and work effectively within a team.
