Estates Surveyor - Valuations

Are you a skilled Estates Surveyor looking for an exciting interim opportunity? A Scottish Local Authority is seeking a dynamic individual to join the team and make a difference in managing our diverse property portfolio.

This role will be a 6 month contract, mostly remote with occasional on site visits, offering a very competitive rate.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct property inspections and valuations to assess condition and value.
• Negotiate leases, licenses, and other property agreements.
• Provide expert advice on property-related matters to internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist in the management of property disposals and acquisitions.
• Carry out rent reviews, lease renewals, and lease variations.
• Maintain accurate property records and documentation.
• Support the development of property strategies and policies.

Requirements:

• Demonstrated experience in commercial property management.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficiency in property valuation methodologies.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Membership in a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS) is desirable.
